Birth years are no excuse, Elizabeth. I was nine years away from being born but I've still seen it ;)

Was it a sitcome? Was it a sitcom she asks ::) It was the first African American family sitcom.

Don't forget to tell me what you think; even if you don't like it (although I don't see how that could be)

I vaguely remember it. Also, The Cosby Show was pretty good, speaking of African American sitcoms... but the funniest of all imho was Everybody Hates Chris! ;D

Of course. I used to watch it religiously but fell off watching it the last couple of seasons because I finally got so tired of hearing DYNOMITE. And after they killed off the father, it became tiresome; but before that, wouldn't miss it. 8)

As much as I miss James I don't think the show suffers too much from his departure

I don't have cable and haven't seen this show in yrs but the funniest episode I remember was JJ falling for his neighbor who was quite sophisticated and stacked and him painting her picture. Still remember that one. he he he.. :D

I remember this show JJ is my favorite...he's so funny.
That show comes on Nick at Night every now and again.
I rememer the episode where JJ had a platonic tom boy
that was his best friend and she was in love with him.

But then she got all dressed up and finally got his attention.

That was a good one.
