I've heard a lot about Blu-ray...in Polish shops we have various movies Blue-ray editions, but they are quite expensive (at least on polish financial condition ::) )- 150 zl (it's about 50 dolars). I haven't got Blue-ray player too.
And I've bought LOTR DVDs, so I don't need Blue-ray version...

I think it would be kinda cool to have the blue ray, but I don't have a blue ray player either, so I'm not getting them. :P Oh well, I don't think it makes that much of a difference, just a clearer picture is all it is right?

If there were like extra never before scenes, or extra bonus features... I might really want them. ;)

Julie, I've seen extended version of LOTR with extra bonus stuff on DVD.
And it costs same as motion picture version on Blue-ray ::)

If they ever release the outtakes I would be tempted :)

Amber, I have the extended editions too. :) I love watching the bonus features. I meant if they ever had new bonus features, like ones they couldn't use or something. I don't think that's very likely though, lol.

Liz, haha, so would I. That would be cool. ;)

Oh, I understand...
I doubt that they have other bonus features. But if they ever had, it would be so great! :)
You've got Your own, extended editions, wooow *.* I can only dream about it... ::)

Yeah, I doubt they have other bonus features too, now that I think about it. I guess what I really meant was like some behind the scenes footage. And outakes, like Liz said. :)

And yeah, I got them for Christmas last year. I really love them. :) I hope you'll be able to get some soon then. :)

I'm not sure but it's available today. I'm tempted even though I have them all on DVD. Here's a review of the new editions http://bit.ly/dhaech (http://bit.ly/dhaech)

I actually bought a new LCD TV and DVD player...soooo I got a Blu-Ray. The clarity is pretty good...even for non Blu-Ray versions. I haven't gotten the Blu-Ray versions of the LOTR because they only have the theatre versions available here...but I might be tempted if the extended editions came out. :)

Would LOVE to have them release additional behind-the-scenes or bloopers! If I remember correctly...didn't they show some never seen bloopers at one of the One Ring gatherings a few years back?

Anyone have or ordered the Blu Ray extended editions of LOTR? I am thinking of getting them in a month or so. ;D Gotta work them into my budget.

i would have got them if they were any different from the DVD extended editions. But looking at them they didn't even put them together! you still have to change disk half way through each film which i dont mind doing but Blu-ray is supposed to be a bigger disk size so...

I will probably get them when they are cheaper, but Its not a buy straight away deal :-X

Oooo....good point, Danny! Didn't even think of that... :) Guess I will just save a bit on the side and wait for the prices to come down a bit. I still get a lot of use out of my extended edition LOTR. ;D
