When Twoflower talks in that, it seems just like Sean, like he's not in character at all. ;) Thanks for the link.

Lovely interview with Sean from yesterday's premiere of "The Colour of Magic" The man with him is Sir David Jason who plays Rincewind, the wizard. He must be REALLY short because Sean actually looks TALL here.

Someone at lj found this but to be honest, there were so many, I've forgotten who it was! LOL

Wow! You're right. Sean does look TALL here. It's funny because I imagined Rincewind as being quite a bit taller than Twoflower, so I'm surprised that it's the reverse and so obiously so. They certainly looked like they were enjoying their time together, though. :) Thanks for the link.

I did, too. I pictured him as rather tall and thin, but apparently not.

There is a LOT of new content on the Colour of Magic website. Look for wallpapers and LOTS of on set pics and stills! Check out "Film Gallery" under "The Films" for some good shots of Sean in Twoflower garb!

Rach is this a movie with a theatrical release or a made for TV movie we'll be able to see over here.

It's a TV movie done for Skye One (sort of like HBO here). It's supposed to be released in the US sometime after Easter, when it shows in the UK. We just don't know when.

Rach

The mini-series is taken from a pair of books by author Terry Prachett, The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic.

They are certainly in the genre of satirical comedy, without doubt.

The books tell the story of Discworld, a flat planet that floats through space on the backs of four elephants that are riding on the back of a giant turtle called A'Tuin.

Hilarity insues.

Sean plays Twoflower, an innocent but courageous tourist, in fact the very FIRST tourist, to the city of Anhk-Morpork.

Rach

oh... I see, is like a satiric version of fantastic worlds and fairy tales?... like "An epic story"?

Very much so! Wickedly funny with a bit of a bite, I'd call it.

Twoflower is one of those characters Sean was BORN to play!

I've read the novels and seen all the online stuff including three trailers. I assure you that Twoflower is very different from Sam. ;)

My friend, Belle, posted this and I loved it so much that I had to pass it on. It is not only vintage Sean, but communicates the very essense of Twoflower.

One thing that has impressed me about TCOM is that, in every picture I've seen from it, Sean's eyes look so GREEN! Absolutely jade green! Usually, his eyes change color from brown to gold to green but in this, they seem consistant in color. I wonder if it's the wild color of that shirt, or if his eye color is settling into green as he gets older?

Rach
