Title: Tracy Chevalier
Post by: maryd on August 23, 2007, 03:02:20 pm

Has anyone on here ever read Tracy Chevalier? She wrote 'Girl In A Pearl Earring' and I love some of her other books, especially 'The Virgin Blue.' I enjoy historical fiction a lot and she's one of the best, in my opinion - not dull or obsessed with historical facts, but just captures the spirit of the time and place.

I read Girl with a Pearl Earring for my book discussion group and really enjoyed it. I don't think I've read any of her others, though.

Hmm, perhaps I should read this. I've seen the movie based on the book and it's excellent.

Its a real page-turner, I'd recommend 'Girl with a pearl earring' to everyone and anyone!

I've recently finished 'Falling Angels' as well, set in Victorian times, and loved it as well!
