I was wondering what everyones favourite song is at the moment?
I have 3
'Please Remember' by Leann Rimes (reminds me of my Grandma) 'Concrete Angel' by Martina Mcbride (written for Judith Barsi) 'Umbrella' by Rhianna (I like the video for it too)
I love to sing along to them. i have the first 2 as faves on You Tube.

'Don't Look Back in Anger' by Oasis
My hubby Mark likes Oasis. I was not too keen on them but I like them now. My fave song by them is Stay Young, off the faculty. And Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

Oh, jeez...
When I first heard it, it was "You Raise Me Up," but since I got the Closer CD, it's now a toss-up between "My Confession" and "Oceano" -- leaning more towards "My Confession."
But then of course, I haven't gotten any of Josh's other CDs yet... ;D |

It's so hard to pick, especially when there are artists like Josh Groban out there, when all his songs are fantastic! But I've thought about it many times before, and I have 5 songs that I absolutely love!
In no particular order....
1. For You to Notice- Dashboard Confessional---Perfect song if you're an introvert like me. It's really the epitome of devotion and loyalty, even to a person who might not see you or notice you. It gets me everytime! 2. Build My World- JC Chasez----I don't exactly relate to the beginning (it tells of a one night stand), but the rest of the song is all about finding the right one in time, the one that you'll build your whole world around. I love the lyrics, and his voice is always perfect! 3. Bridge Over Troubled Water- Simon & Garfunkel----I hate to get all religious and what not, because I always feel like I'm imposing my beliefs on other people. But this song...*sigh* it's such a spiritual song for me. It's like a love song from God....it really lifts my spirits when I'm feeling down. 4. You're Still You- Josh Groban--- I know, I know. I'm sure everyone on the boards knows of my love for this man. But I've loved this song even before I really got "obsessed". I was walking to school when I first heard this and I was really feeling down...but...wow, a song has never made me feel as good as this song does. The line "And I believe in you, although you never asked me to."....it left me breathless! It's the quintessential love song, I believe. :) 5. Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor- Juanes---- He's a Colombian rock GOD! This song in particular is so beautiful and lovely. The music especially astounds me! It's so beautiful! Not to mention, it's in my favorite [foreign] language...Spanish!
OK...I lied. There are 6. :)
I've always loved Beethoven's 9th Symphony..Ode to Joy...I've loved it since I was a kid, and it still amazes me to this day! :) |

Okay.
I got Awake this weekend, and I now have a new favorite: "Un Giorno Per Noi," the Italian version of the Romeo and Juliet theme (from the 60s).
'Course I'd like it better if it were in English, but hey, it's Josh. He could sing in Klingon if he wanted to, and it wouldn't matter to me! ;D |

I am glad the thread is favourite song of the moment rather than all time because I couldn't choose one all time favourite I love too much music for that.
At the moment my favourite song is the Yeti Magic Song written by Julian Barratt and performed by Julian Barratt, Noel Fielding, Dave Brown and Mike Fielding of the Mighty Boosh which appears in the series 2 episode 'Yeti'.
Plus I am liking all of Julian's music that he has written for the Mighty Boosh. |

Gavin DeGraw-I don't wanna be I just love this song
I don't need to be anything other than a prison guard's son I don't need to be anything other than a specialist's son I don't have to be anyone other than a birth of two souls in one Part of where I'm going is knowing where I'm coming from
I don't wanna be everything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do is think in me and I have a peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta do Or who I'm supposed to be I don't wanna be anything other than me
I'm surrounded by liers everywhere I turn I'm surrounded by imposters everywhere I turn I'm surrounded by a deadly crisis everywhere I turn Am I the only one to notice? I can't be the only one who's learned
I don't wanna be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do is think in me and I have peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta do Or who I'm supposed to be I don't wanna be anything other than me
Can I have everyone's attention, please See, not like this and that You're gonna have to leave I came from the mountain, the crust of creation My whole situation made from clay, dust, stone And now I'm telling everybody
I don't wanna be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do is think in me and I have peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms wondering what I gotta do I don't wanna be anythng other than me I don't wanna be I don't wanna be I don't wanna be I don't wanna be |

When You're Gone - Avril Lavigne
I always needed time on my own I never thought I'd need you there when I cry And the days feel like years when I'm alone And the bed where you lie is made up on your side
When you walk away I count the steps that you take Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone The pieces of my heart are missing you When you're gone The face I came to know is missing too When you're gone All the words I need to hear to always get me through the day And make it OK I miss you
I've never felt this way before Everything that I do Reminds me of you And the clothes you left they lie on my floor And they smell just like you I love the things that you do
When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?
When you're gone The pieces of my heart are missing you When you're gone The face I came to know is missing too And when you're gone The words I need to hear to always get me through the day And make it OK I miss you
We were made for each other Out here forever I know we were Yeah Yeah
All I ever wanted was for you to know Everything I do I give my heart and soul I can hardly breathe, I need to feel you here with me Yeah
When you're gone The pieces of my heart are missing you When you're gone The face I came to know is missing too When you're gone The words I need to hear will always get me through the day And make it OK I miss you

Why can’t you just let me Do the things I wanna do I just wanna be me I don’t understand why Would you wanna bring me down I’m only having fun I’m gonna live my life Like I wanna do
I’m tired of rumors startin’ I’m sick of being followed I’m tired of people lyin’ Saying what they want about me Why can’t they back up off me Why can’t they let me live I’m gonna do it my way Take this for just what it is

This one :D
shakira - Underneath Your Clothes
You're a song Written by the hands of god Don't get me wrong cause This might sound to you a bit odd But you own the place Where all my thoughts go hiding And right under your clothes Is where I find them Underneath Your Clothes There's an endless story There's the man I chose There's my territory And all the things I deserve For being such a good girl honey
Because of you I forgot the smart ways to lie Because of you I'm running out of reasons to cry When the friends are gone When the party's over We will still belong to each other
(Chorus) Underneath Your Clothes There's an endless story There's the man I chose There's my territory And all the things I deserve For being such a good girl honey
I love you more than all that's on the planet Movin' talkin' walkin' breathing You know it's true Oh baby it's so funny You almost don't believe it As every voice is hanging from the silence Lamps are hanging from the celing Like a lady to her good manners I'm tied up to this feeling
Underneath Your Clothes There's an endless story There's the man I chose There's my territory And all the things I deserve For being such a good girl honey
(Repeat chorus) |

AWAKE by Josh Groban
A beautiful and blinding morning The world outside begins to breathe See clouds arriving without warning I need you here to shelter me
And I know that only time will tell us how To carry on without each other
So keep me awake to memorize you Give me more time to feel this way We can't stay like this forever But I can have you next to me today
If I could make these moments endless If I could stop the winds of change If we just keep our eyes wide open Then everything would stay the same
And I know that only time will tell me how We'll carry on without each other
So keep me awake for every moment Give us more time to be this way We can't stay like this forever But I can have you next to me today
We'll let tomorrow wait, you're here, right now, with me All my fears just fall away, when you are all I see
We can't stay like this forever But I have you here today
And I will remember Oh I will remember Remember all the love we shared today
:'( :'( So heartfelt and beautiful.....wow......there are no words that could possibly describe how much this song has saved me and strengthened me.....THAT right there, ladies and gents, is GREAT MUSIC! :) |

Bryan Adams - Everything I do
Look into my eyes - you will see What you mean to me Search your heart - search your soul And when you find me there you'll search no more
Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for You know it's true Everything I do - I do it for you
Look into your heart - you will find There's nothin' there to hide Take me as I am - take my life I would give it all - I would sacrifice
Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more Ya know it's true Everything I do - I do it for you
There's no love - like your love And no other - could give more love There's nowhere - unless you're there All the time - all the way
Oh - you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more I would fight for you - I'd lie for you Walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you
Ya know it's true Everything I do - I do it for you

FAR AWAY - NICKLEBACK
This time, This place Misused, Mistakes Too long, Too late Who was I to make you wait Just one chance Just one breath Just in case there's just one left 'Cause you know, you know, you know
[CHORUS] That I love you I have loved you all along And I miss you Been far away for far too long I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore
On my knees, I'll ask Last chance for one last dance 'Cause with you, I'd withstand All of hell to hold your hand I'd give it all I'd give for us Give anything but I won't give up 'Cause you know, you know, you know
[CHORUS] So far away Been far away for far too long So far away Been far away for far too long But you know, you know, you know
I wanted I wanted you to stay 'Cause I needed I need to hear you say That I love you I have loved you all along And I forgive you For being away for far too long So keep breathing 'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore Believe it Hold on to me and, never let me go Keep breathing 'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore Believe it Hold on to me and, never let me go Keep breathing Hold on to me and, never let me go Keep breathing Hold on to me and, never let me go

Judging by the way Mai spells her screen name now, it makes me wonder if she hasn't discovered Josh Groban as well.
What do you think, Kate? ;)
BTW, a current favorite of mine is Evanescence's "Call Me When You're Sober." |

ATM, my fave songs are:
"One Crowded Hour" by Oz band Augie March. If Bob Dylan and Bono had a baby, this would be it! LOL! ;) ;D This song also features the best lyrics of any modern rock song...

"I Wanna Be Adored" by The Stone Roses.
"Down Down Down" and "My People" by The Presets.
"Ole Black and Blue Eyes" and "Baby Fratelli" by The Fratellis.
And "Taste the Last Girl" by Sons and Daughters.
...Oh, and also, "Diminished" and "Accelerate" by REM!!! ;D ;D ;D
*******
All-time favourite songs include (among MANY others!):
"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen "Country Feedback" by REM "The Hanging Garden" by The Cure "Black" by Pearl Jam "Throw Your Arms Around Me" by Hunters and Collectors "Paranoid Android" and "Street Spirit" by Radiohead
That'll do for now! ;) :-X ::) |

Hello Everyone !
First of All, I'd like to say that I'm new here, and French ! So, I'm sorry for making mistakes, if I do.
I'm passioned by music, I do play guitare and write songs. And at the moment, I listen to the music of a friend of mine, Inna Modja. Her music is great. The song I prefer is "Leave Me Alone".
You really should go to her Myspace and listen to the 4 songs she put on. Pleasure garantee ! Besides, I made her myspace, so tell me what you think :p I hope she's gonna succeed soon because she really deserve it :)
Enjoy !

Something has changed within me, Something is not the same, I'm through with playing by the rules, Of someone else's game. Too late for second-guessing, Too late to go back to sleep, It's time to trust my instincts, Close my eyes: and leap!
It's time to try, Defying gravity. I think I'll try, Defying gravity. Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity. And you won't bring me down!
I'm through accepting limits, 'Cause someone says they're so, Some things I cannot change, But till I try, I'll never know! Too long I've been afraid of, Losing love I guess I've lost, Well, if that's love, It comes at much too high a cost!
I'd sooner buy, Defying gravity. Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity. I think I'll try, Defying gravity. And you won't bring me down!
I'd sooner buy, Defying gravity. Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity. I think I'll try, Defying gravity. And you won't bring me down! Bring me down! Ohh ohhh ohhhh!
Chris breaks my heart when he sings this song. |

Holy Snap-Crackle-Pop, a lot.
Ah...well, let's see!
Hawthorne Heights' new song End of the Underground from their upcoming album Skeletons has been on my mind a lot lately, and I'm starting to love it. I'll be adding that to the favorites list. *check!*
Little Wonders by Rob Thomas is always first at the peak, though. :) After that comes Flight of Apollo by Angels&Airwaves. (well... many of their songs from their three albums)
Also I always love Bright Eyes from the movie version of Watership Down, I forgot the artist's name. '^^ |
